Moms Can Be Hot Too, Right?!?

My name is Holly. I'm 28 years old, a mom of 2, a wife, a nurse, and a crossfit junkie. I'm determined to be an inspiration to my children and one hot mom!

Yeah, I suck at updating!  Didn’t get a wod in this weekend (birthday parties) but did run 2 miles Sunday and did some push-ups and burpees at home.  Worked today but made it to the gym :)

I was kind of excited about this… The same workout I did last September. However, this time around was different.  I Rx’d it this time… I push pressed 10# more this today, sdhp 20# more, and used a wall ball 4# more than I did last September.  My total rep count was 231 (234 last time not at Rx)…. After a full day of work!  
I’m so proud of myself and it is truly awesome to see how far I have come :)

Not at all impressed with my back squat weight… Last time I hit 150# but what can I say… It’s hard for me to do these kind of lifts at 6 am!

after saturday’s workout sucked so bad, i needed to have a good/motivational week at the gym.

today we worked on our strict press to find our one rep max. last go round mine was 65#. (not sure of the date though but couldn’t have been more than a month or month and a half ago i wanna say).  today…73#!!  thats a 8 # increase!!!

total beast mode…second lowest time of the day.  i hate rowing so i have been studying the technique of our rowmaster as i like to refer to her.  i’ve got to say, it totally paid off.  today. was. awesome. 

wow, who am i?

i have been consistently getting up and attempting to make it to all of the morning classes.  yesterday was my “late” day where i work 9-730p so i headed in to do the 6:15 workout while it was still dark and a cold 36 degrees outside.

it was:

5 rounds

run 400m

10 pullups

10 deadlifts (155#)

10 situps

almost 24 minutes.

so, i went with 115 on deadlifts..could have gone higher but my one rep max right now is 165 so i didnt want to push up.  i used our purple band for pullups which is our least resistance band until my coach told me the next round i had to attempt without the band.  i was nervous as i have really never been without the band in a workout.  i surprised myself and did it.

side note- my friend, who is also a nurse and a mom, came to the morning wod (we usually go at night)…which made the class consist of 5 moms, 2 dads, and 2 childless people…thus spawning the name of our class to be named “mom’s morning out” for the rest of the day hahaha!

How obnoxious am I?!? Lol I didn’t even look at my time.  Oh well, tomorrow is another day…

I decided to get back on track (been eating a lot of bday cake while celebrating my husband’s birthday for three days in a row). Today is a freah start.  I’m going to eat clean again.  Plus, i’ve gotten to a point where I can rx most of the workouts.
My husband and I working out times to get to the gym..its a bit of a struggle.  He works 45 min away from our house and a lot of times has to leave work early so I can even make it to a wod. The only other alternative is me getting up early and going to the 6:15 class.  However, prying myself out of bed is easier said than done.  I hate getting up early.  But, it’s honestly what works best for our schedule so this morning I made the extra effort and went.
